Inside the Jobs You'd Never Expect to Help the Planet

For this Earth Day panel discussion, I brought back two of our most popular past guests—Charlie Sellars and Gabe Dover—and introduced a new voice, Shruti Chander.

Together, they reveal how unlikely actions—starting a compost bin, asking a carbon question, shifting a conference agenda—can drive real workplace climate change.

This episode is a recording of a well-received panel discussion I hosted in partnership with the Climate Action Resource Library (CARL) team, titled How to Make Your Job a Climate Job. It was one of three events I hosted for this year’s Climate Week, and it was so much fun.

🌱 New here? After this episode, dive deeper into Gabe and Charlie’s full stories in their original interviews (linked below).

🎧 You’ll learn:

  • How to build ripple effects in your workplace

  • Why composting, data questions, and internal Slack channels matter

  • How to frame climate as a business opportunity

  • Tips for landing a climate-aligned role
